State Testing

Students who will be transferring  into grades 5 or 9 in the public school system from any in-state non-public school or any home school program, or any Louisiana resident transferring from any out-of-state school are required to take the LEAP test or State placement test (grades 4 and 8). Students must register through the Tangipahoa Parish School System.  Homeschooling students who wish to take the LEAP Test  (Grades 3-8) must also register through the Tangipahoa Parish School System. The deadline for registering for the LEAP test is March 15, 2024.

The LEAP tests will be administered in 1 format this year. Grades 3rd- 8th will be computer based testing (CBT) during the testing window of  April 15 - May 17, 2024.  Summer LEAP testing for High School students will be June 24 - 28, 2024.
